Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
You have questions?
We have answers.
Typically, no.
During LASIK surgery, your surgeon applies anesthetic eye drops to numb your eyes. Because of this, most folks don’t feel any pain during the procedure.
Even though it typically isn’t painful, it’s not uncommon to feel a little pressure or slight discomfort during the procedure.
Once the surgery is over, you might feel a slight burning sensation for a few hours. Your eyes also might feel itchy, dry, or watery. If this happens, it typically lasts only a day or two.
Take the LASIK self-test and someone will contact you to set up a LASIK consultation. During a LASIK consultation, you’ll discuss your eyecare options with highly trained medical professionals from a LASIK practice that is local to your area.
During your initial consultation, you’ll receive a breakdown of how much you can expect to pay. The pricing breakdown includes costs for the surgery as well as pre- and post-operative care. We’ll even include how much you can expect to spend in taxes and let you know what portion–if any–your insurance is likely to cover.
No hidden fees. Just complete transparency.
Your eyecare doesn’t stop after you have LASIK surgery. There are follow-up appointments and continual treatment plans that are necessary to ensure your vision remains clear.
By having a local independent surgeon perform your LASIK surgery, you have the option to have them handle your ongoing eyecare. This benefits you because they have already earned your trust by performing your LASIK surgery and they are already very familiar with your eyecare situation.
Your eyecare is important, and at LASIK Doctor Network, we know your relationship with your ophthalmologist is important, too.
That’s why we emphasize the value of having a local ophthalmologist perform your LASIK surgery.
And that’s why we want you to have access to a surgeon who is local to your area.
At LASIK Doctor Network, we only work with independent LASIK surgeons who are local to your area. These surgeons aren’t part of a corporation or large chain of practices. Typically, they own and operate their own private practice. But some independent surgeons choose to work with a small chain of practices.
Unlike surgeons who are tied to a larger chain or corporation, independent LASIK surgeons set their own prices, which often allows them to provide you with more affordable options.
If you want to avoid a one-size-fits-all approach to your eyecare, you’re better off seeing an independent LASIK surgeon, since they typically have the flexibility to provide you with a more personalized treatment plan.
And because independent LASIK surgeons can spend as much time with you as needed, you can be sure any questions and concerns you may have will be thoroughly addressed.
