Dr. Parag Parekh M.D.
Dr. Parag Parekh, M.D., holds a B.S. and M.S. from Johns Hopkins University, an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and an M.S. from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. After completing his residency at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, he specialized in cataract surgery, LASIK, cornea surgery, and glaucoma surgery during his fellowship with Minnesota Eye Consultants. Dr. Parekh has performed thousands of sight-saving surgical procedures since completing his fellowship in 2008 and has been practicing in Central/Western Pennsylvania since 2011. He previously practiced in Massachusetts with clinical appointments at Harvard/Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and Tufts/New England Eye Center. An active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Dr. Parekh has contributed significant clinical research and authored numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters. He has received several awards, such as the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute W. Richard Green Teaching Award and the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award. Dr. Parekh practices at locations in Windmere and Tyrone.
